Cornerstone Cottage in Lamoine
Cornerstone Cottage is the kind of place that stays with you. Tucked in the quiet coastal town of Lamoine, Maine, this thoughtfully restored home offers shore access, a fire pit, and plenty of space for families and friends to gather. For owner Jenny Power, it’s a deeply personal place that she and her husband, Alan, have made a point to share with others.
Jenny lives in Houston with their twin daughters, but her heart belongs to the Downeast coast. “There’s something about the pace here, the quiet, and the way the light hits the water that brings me home in a way nowhere else does,” she says.
The cottage is available as a short-term rental and is located just a short drive from Acadia National Park. Guests often come for the national park but find just as much joy in staying put. Morning coffee on the deck, a quiet path down to the shoreline, and evenings around the fire pit offer a slower rhythm that’s hard to find elsewhere. Inside, the home is warm and inviting, filled with personal touches that reflect Jenny’s eye for comfort and ease.
“I wanted to create the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease,” she says. “Where families can reconnect or friends can slow down and share a meal together.”
Cornerstone Cottage offers a quiet, grounding place to land. It’s the kind of retreat that lets you feel like a local, even if just for the weekend.
