Flash! In the Pans Steel Drum Band
What musical instrument makes a sound that transports you to a tropical island? If you said steel drums, you would be right! Flash in a Pan is one of the LARGEST community steel drums groups in the country. Formed in 1990, Flash has been bringing people together with their love for music for over 30 years.

Coming back for the 9th year, is the Bar Harbor Pride Festival. Located in downtown Bar Harbor, this year’s festival will be an exciting assortment of events from local art, food, and other amazing things. Don’t miss out!

Maine Ocean Festival
Explore the wonders of the Gulf of Maine, and all the extraordinary creatures that live within it. Hosted at the Oceanarium and Education Center in Bar Harbor, the Maine Ocean Festival will have a variety of opportunities to see and experience the living organisms in our beautiful ocean. From sea snails, and hermit crabs, to lobsters, and scallops, there is something for everything to see. Additionally, there will be art vendors, food, presenters, and live music!

Ellsworth Pride Fest
Come celebrate Ellsworth’s queer community at this year’s Ellsworth Pride Festival. Returning for another year will be Curbside Queens, the fabulous drag queen team, here to show us how a show is really done. If you’re out and about in Ellsworth, keep your eyes open for the colorful creatures for the Ellsworth Pride Zoo!

Downeast Rock & Roots Festival
New in the last year, the Downeast Rock & Roots Festival, is a family friendly festival with a variety of food vendors, musical artists, and art. Hosted at Knowlton Park in Ellsworth, the Downeast Rock and Roots Festival will be held on July 6-7th, with music beginning at 11am.

Maine Lobster Boat Races
What screams Maine more, than the annual Lobster Boat Races. Hosted from June to August, the Lobster Boat races are a must see! Bringing the community together each year to root on your favorite boats, have a drink, eat some lobster, and enjoy the sun!

Winter Harbor Lobster Festival
Each year in Winter Harbor, the town holds its annual Lobster Festival and craft fair. You will find no shortage of lobsters, thick Maine accents, and hospitality here. Walk down Winter Harbor’s Main Street and eat a lobster roll while you look at chainsaw art, painted buoys, and breathtaking photography of our gorgeous Maine coast.
