4 Places to See the Fireworks in Downeast Maine

BAR HARBOR

Bar Harbor is known for putting on an amazing show each year. Despite the rainy weather trying to do us Mainers in this summer, come sit back and relax and enjoy the show. If crowds aren’t your thing, it may be best to avoid this area.

SOUTHWEST HARBOR

Southwest Harbor, also known as the quiet side, hosts beautiful fireworks display in the harbor as well. Onlookers can see the show from miles away. Ever thought about watching them from a kayak? This is the place to try it.

SULLIVAN

Sullivan, a quiet town just off the island, puts on an annual fireworks show over Taunton Bay. Looking to beat the crowds? Sullivan is a great option. If you happen to be in the area earlier in the day, take some time to watch the parade in Ellsworth!

MILBRIDGE

Staying a little bit further up the coast? Milbridge is a great place to stop and see the fireworks. Though not your typical celebration, Milbridge hosts their celebration a few days earlier on the 29th with a parade and a fireworks show.
